X-men Sketch B-day gift
This was a birthday gift for my brother's 24th birthday on Oct. 13. He said he is going to get it framed. ^_^
The border was cropped drastically because my scanner is too small :(
I told him not to sell it because when I get famous it will be worth a ton of $$$$ lol. He said he won't sell it unless he becomes homeless or something hahaaa.

K.O.
So I'm knocking out commissions as I receive them because Baltimore Comic Con is around the corner. These are just wips (work in progress) and the final versions will be inked and colored. Up next I want to get a piece of art done for the Marla Bea Cancer Charity and then a brand new business card. Still alot to do before the con but I'm excited at the same time ^_^
If you would like a commission then you can email me here: SHERRYLEAK@GMAIL.COM

I recommend...
So while on the topic of improving shortcomings I wanted to recommend a couple of figure pose books. To be honest when I first saw these books I thought they were ridiculous with all the poses and stuff but the more I looked at them and used it the more they came in handy. In fact I use them almost everyday when I'm drawing. They are great reference and include male and females poses, gun poses, sword poses, running, jumping, etc. I highly recommend all 3 of the, if it wasn't for these great reference books then I probably would not have been able to draw quicksilver running properly:

People will talk S**T about you + Recently finished commissions
Sorry about the bluntness of the title but its something that I had to get off my chest. Basically it doesn't matter if your the best artist in the world or if you still have things you need to work on. People will still find ways to try to bring you down. Trust me I know from personal experience.
What I don't understand is why these people say negative things about your art work when their not even artist and they don't know what they are talking about and more then likely they don't know how to give a proper critique of your work other then saying something like "oh well their art sucks" or their "art is awful." Like seriously grow up and get a life.
Basically when it comes down to it don't let these a$$holes get to you. I even have to tell myself this. So for all you artist out there keep doing what your doing and strive for the top, I'll do the same (^-^)
Ok so now onto recently finished commissions....
Above is a batman/catwoman commission that I finished up. To be honest I've only drawn these 2 characters once before. I like how this came out. Next up is a sketch card commission of Magik from New mutants. I never drew her before either but I like her character design. I just picked up some other commissions that I will be posting here too. They include: The Marx Brothers 3 card spread in inks and gray scale markers, 8 quick sketch commissions of various characters, and a yoda sketch card. Thanks for stopping by. If you would like to request a commission then please feel free to email me here: sherryleak@gmail.com

Quick Sketch 4

So this is the last batch of quick sketches for at least a couple days I think. They are very fun and I don't have to care about making a perfect drawing. But for now I better get back to commissions and other art works otherwise I won't make it to Baltimore Comic Con on Oct. 10-11.
So for now I'm working on some commissions and more completed art work. I will upload the progress of those within the coming days. Thanks once again for stopping by.

Quick Sketch

So it was like 4:30 am this morning and I was sketching a little bit. I probably should have been in bed at that time but I felt guilty because I had not drawn at all the previous day. I've seen other artist doing quick sketches on colored paper and decided to give it a shot. Sometimes its nice to draw quick art or any quick artistic thing for that matter. Blackcat is above and Storm is Below. I had some Scrapbook paper lying around (no, I don't do scrap booking. I use it for drawing on.) I did these quick sketches with pencils, markers, and pastels. Enjoy.

Sketch Card Process Final

Well here they are, the color versions. When I work in color I work from light to dark. I used prismacolor markers and sharpies for these. I mostly use sharpies for my darker tones in each sketch card. I used sakura white gel pen for highlights, outlines, and corrections. I hope this walk through was helpful for you.

From left to right: Gambit, Angel & Psylocke, Vision & Scarlet Witch, Buffy, Gaildriel, Medusa, Maris Brood, Jaina Solo, and April O'neil

From left to right: Arwen, Denna Troi, and Supergirl
Thanks for stopping by once again.

Sketch Card Process 2b

Hello. Well I was able to get up at a decent time today. Woke up at 10am, I'm proud of myself. Here are the inks for the other cards as promised. Like I said in the previous post I use micron 1 pen and faber-castell f pen for inking. I tend to fill in my large black areas during the coloring stage but you can do that during the inking stage if you want. I also forgot to mention previously that I tend to correct my pencils as I'm inking so sometimes my 1st initial pencil sketch doesn't look exactly the same as my inks. Hope you like them.
In the 1st picture is: Jaina Solo and Maris Brood.
In the 2nd picture is: Scarlet Witch & Vision, Angel and Psylocke, Gambit, Buffy, Deni Troi, Medusa, April O'neil, Galdreil, and Arwen
Thanks for stopping by once again. I hope you can find this small tutorial/walk through helpful.
